CASSANDRA AND THE KNIGHTHAWKS is a four-piece rock & blues cover band that has been performing for audiences in the New England area over the last several years. The band’s more than 60-year collective history brings a variety of experience and talent that has entertained audiences everywhere—offering classic rock, blues, country rock, blues, and more.

 

Lead vocalist CASSANDRA CAROLAN began her professional singing career in 2017. Cassandra has performed at numerous open jam shows and has guested with various New England skilled musicians. Cassandra also performs as a one-woman show and as a duo with various local entertainers.

 

Lead guitarist DAVE YARRISON has performed with many bands in his 50-year career including the legendary southern rockers Arizona Maid Band from Somers, CT. Along with Cassandra and the Knighthawks, Dave also plays guitar for the band Cold Train, which has opened for national acts such as The Outlaws and Molly Hatchet.

 

TIM BRUNET started his musical journey on bass at age 13 and performed exclusively in the late 60s and early 70s with the band Long Sunday Drive. He took a break from his music career to get married and raise a family, but Tim revived his love for music in 2014 and joined local Connecticut bands such as 691, The Troublemakers and Hard Luxury. Tim became Cassandra and the Knighthawks’ bassist in 2023 and has been having a great time performing for his audience.

 

Drummer MARK SLUGOSKI knew that he would become a drummer very early in life: he was always playing on anything that sounded percussive. He was initially self-taught at 13 while in middle school, eventually refining his skills with formal instruction and continuing to perfect his craft. His first band whetted his appetite for music so that by 16, he was in a recording studio and playing clubs. While rock and roll was the predominant genre for Mark, he has also performed in local dance and pop bands to diversify his repertoire such as The Fugitives Band and Cleo Blue. Working in Cassandra and the Knighthawks has allowed him to bring together all types of music styles and allows him to present his talent at its best.

 

CASSANDRA AND THE KNIGHTHAWKS has performed at such Connecticut venues as Blackstone Irish Pub in Southington, The Black Duck Cafe in Westport, Black-Eyed Sally’s in East Hartford, Hartford Harley Davidson, Brookfield Indian Motorcycle, Comix Roadhouse at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Arts On Main Summer Music Series in Stafford Springs, Town of Southington Summer Concert Music Series, and Woodbury Brewing Company.
